About
Western United Pioneers Futebol Club (WUP FC) is a nonprofit soccer organization founded in 1997 and based in Ludlow, MA, serving over 700 members from western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. The club operates from the historic Lusitano Stadium, a 3000-seat facility built in 1918 that is the oldest soccer-specific stadium in New England. WUP FC is unique in providing a complete development pathway from youth academy through pre-professional levels, including USL Academy boys teams and UWS Academy girls teams. The club emphasizes being a 'soccer family, not soccer factory' with a focus on technical proficiency and possession-based play rather than just winning games.
