About
Steel City FC is Pittsburgh's first soccer club offering a complete development pathway from youth to adult for both men's and women's soccer. Formed in 2021 through the collaboration of Pittsburgh Hotspurs SC (founded in 1980s) and Arsenal FC of Pittsburgh (established 1997), the club emphasizes long-term player development with a phase model approach. The club operates across multiple sites including East Harmar, Metro/City, North Cranberry, and Harmar locations. Steel City FC has successfully developed players who have progressed to MLS, including Michael Sullivan (Toronto FC) and Koven Johnson (Colorado Rapids).
