Sport Club Portuguese

Sport Club Português is a cultural organization founded in 1921 in Newark's historic Ironbound district that preserves Portuguese heritage while operating soccer programs. Located at 55 Prospect Street, the club serves as a cornerstone of the Portuguese community for over a century. Their soccer program recently won the UPSL Northeast American Division 1 championship. The club operates as a 501c(3) organization offering diverse cultural activities including traditional folklore, Portuguese language school, and competitive soccer. They maintain their own facilities with a hall, lounge, and provide venue rentals for community events.
