About
The San Francisco Glens Soccer Club, founded in 1961 by Dr. Michael McFadden, is the largest and most diverse soccer club in San Francisco with over 100 teams and 1,200 youth and adult players. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the club has never turned away a player due to financial hardship, distributing over $300,000 in scholarships last year alone. The club operates a comprehensive youth academy with a full pathway in MLS NEXT, local micro soccer programs serving kids as young as Pre-K, a USL League Two men's team, and a WPSL women's team. In 2024, the Glens opened a soccer-specific facility at Treasure Island featuring a FIFA-certified main pitch and three 5v5 fields. The club recently announced the North Bay Glens, an expansion of its MLS NEXT program into Marin County beginning fall 2026.
