The New York Shockers is a semi-professional soccer club based in Colonie, NY that competes in multiple adult leagues including NPSL, WPSL, and UPSL. Founded as the Capital Region's soccer team, they are in their fourth season with men's teams in NPSL and UPSL, and a women's team in WPSL. The club plays home matches at Afrim's Sports Park in Albany, NY, a state-of-the-art facility built in 2019 that has hosted NCAA regional finals and ACC soccer games. They added a second men's team competing in UPSL in 2024, demonstrating continued growth and expansion.
