New York City FC (NYCFC) is a Major League Soccer club based in New York City, NY, founded in 2013 and competing since 2015. The club operates a youth Academy program under the banner of the Etihad City Football Academy, competing in elite leagues including MLS NEXT and the National Academy League. NYCFC also offers developmental youth programs such as Spring Programs and City Select League for players looking to stay sharp during the soccer season. The club has recently named Robin Nicholls as Academy Director and sends Academy teams on international tours to cities like Manchester and Girona, reflecting a global development philosophy.
