About

Hunter Soccer Club is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization serving Glenside, PA and surrounding communities for over 60 years. Founded in 1962 as St. Luke's Soccer Club by John Hunter, a Scottish immigrant, the club began with Cub Scouts learning soccer with a volleyball at Abington High School fields. The club was renamed Hunter Soccer Club in 1970 to honor its founder after his passing. Known for their distinctive blue and white horizontal stripe uniforms inspired by Queen's Park Rangers, Hunter SC serves over 1,400 youth participants from 600+ local families, offering both recreational and travel soccer programs.
