About
Hoover-Vestavia Soccer (HVS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth soccer club based in Birmingham, Alabama, serving players in age divisions U11–U19. The club competes at elite levels through affiliations with Girls Academy, MLS NEXT, MLS NEXT Tier 2, SCCL, and ASA leagues, offering one of the top competitive pathways for both boys and girls in the Southeast. HVS has produced U.S. National Team players including Chris Richards and Clint Dempsey connections, and its 2008 Girls team claimed the 2024 DPL National Championship—the first national title by an Alabama team. The club's philosophy centers on teamwork, respect, and long-term player development, aiming to build character and leadership alongside soccer skills. HVS also runs the Futures Summer Training Program for U9–U12 players from any club, reflecting its commitment to broad player development.
