Danbury Grassroots Academy

Danbury Grassroots Academy is a free, year-round program founded in 2006 serving 75-80 select at-risk students ages 8-22 in Danbury, CT. The academy emphasizes four core areas: education, character development, tennis instruction, and health/nutrition. Operating from their education center on Main Street and public tennis courts at Rogers Park, they provide academic support, mentoring, and life skills development. The program focuses on improving graduation rates, reading levels, and establishing college or career paths for promising students in the Danbury community.
