City SC San Marcos is a 501(c)3 non-profit youth soccer club based in San Marcos, California, serving players from age 4 through 19. The club offers both recreational and competitive programs, including Development Player League (DPL) teams for girls and Elite Academy (EA) teams for boys, as well as a City SC Juniors development pathway and an Academy program. Their philosophy centers on three pillars—Community, Innovation, and Team-First—with a mission to ignite a lifelong passion for soccer while developing better people through the game. Unique offerings include TOPSoccer for players aged 2–18 with medical or physical disabilities, futsal seasons, goalkeeper clinics, and their own Copa tournament series. The club operates out of a physical office at 100 East San Marcos Blvd and uses multiple local facilities including Hollandia Park, Connors Park, and Palomar College Minkoff Field.

Tryout Schedule
Competitive tryouts are held once per year between December and May, depending on age group. U6-U9 tryouts were scheduled for December 1-4, 2025 at Hollandia Park, Connors Park, and Palomar College Minkoff Field. U10-U14 tryouts are scheduled for the week of February 23-27, 2026. U15-U19 tryout registration is open for the 2026/2027 season. Online tryout registration is required for all age groups. DPL (girls, U13-U19) and EA (boys, U11-U19) recruitment is year-round; contact Nick Perera at nick@cityscsanmarcos.com. Academy recruitment is also year-round with players typically invited for a trial period. Recreational programs require no tryout—players simply register.
