BWP Football Academy

BWP Football Academy (Blackwatch Soccer Club, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit youth soccer club founded in 1996 and based in Voorheesville, NY, proudly serving the Capital Region of New York. The club focuses on male youth footballers ages 12-19 with a technical, creative, and attack-minded playing philosophy, offering four training sessions per week under a player-centric development methodology. BWP FA competes in the ECNL Regional League and EDP North Atlantic League, and has also participated in the USL Academy and MLS Elite Youth Development platforms. The club features specialized programs including a Goalkeeper Academy, Girls Pathway, Pre-ECNL Academy, and an International Training Center, with primary facilities at Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Albany and Kiwanis Park in Latham, NY. The Academy is led by founder and Technical/Academy Director Steve Freeman alongside Technical Director Ricardo Vaz Tê, and the club maintains an active alumni association founded in 2019.
